Switching to Ecolite Industrial Hi-Saver and Rackmaster helped Tradeteam reach in excess of 90% savings. Tradeteam is the UK's leading drinks logistics business. It was formed in 1995 with the sole aim of offering brewers, drinks brand owners and retailers cost savings through a number of tailored services.
With 29 locations, over 2,000 employees, 600 vehicles and 50 million items picked each year, improving the working environment was paramount to maintaining their 99.88% accuracy. Ecolighting was contacted to evaluate and recommend a suitable lighting scheme to improve the existing working environment.
The operation worked 24/5 and consisted mainly of old 250w & 400w Metal Halide fittings, this was replaced with our Ecolite Industrial Hi-Saver, a combination of 3x80w and 4x80w or the open areas and our Rackmaster 3x80w for the racked areas.
Both light levels and uniformity was improved and provided a return on investment in less than 9 months.

Ongoing maintenance of the new system will greatly reduce the impact on the operation as lamp life is expected to last over 10 years. Since completing the project, the sites emergency, yard and pedestrian walkway lighting have also been replaced.
