Ecolighting Was Chosen to Increase Lighting in The Bristol Port Company and Save in Excess of 50% in Energy Consumption
Bristol Port is Britain’s most centrally located deep sea port bringing ships closer to the centre of the UK. Privatised in 1991, Bristol Port remains a privately owned independent business with the entire 2,600 acres of dock estate zoned for industrial use.
After a major tender process, Ecolighting was invited to install their lights at shed 4B. The brief was simple, increase our light levels two fold and save us money.
The old lighting consisted of 400w sodium fittings, these were replaced with our Ecolite Industrial Hi-Saver 4x80w with PIR for the open areas and our Rackmaster 4x80w with PIR for the racked areas.

All concerned are delighted with the results and more building are planned for the future.
Ongoing maintenance of the new system will greatly reduce the impact on the operation as lamp life is expected to last over 10 years.
