Paragon Carpets is a leading commercial carpet tile company part of the National Floorcoverings Group. Paragon has operated since 1997 but has roots back to the original group in 1867. As a leading commercial carpet tile manufacturer, the company operates with responsible commitment to the environment.
To help them in this commitment, Lutterworth Ecolighting conducted a metered assessment within the most frequented aisle in the main warehouse at their Rotherham Depot. The existing fittings consisted of a mixture of 400w and 250w Discharge and T8 lighting. The trial measured that the replacement Ecolite Rackmaster and Industrial Hi-Saver fittings reduced Paragon’s lighting consumption by a massive 89%.
The site have since saved another 2% by reducing the output of the fittings without compromising light levels giving a total saving of 91%.

Steve Bailey, head of facilities from Paragon Carpets said: “As a result of the findings and the projected cost and energy savings, we have now installed Lutterworth Ecolighting’s fittings throughout the warehouse and will be looking at rolling out the solution to our factory and hopefully our other sites across the country.”
The site now benefits from significant energy savings and a reduction in carbon emissions to meet corporate objectives, the operation also benefits from superior lighting levels, reduced maintenance costs, enhanced working environment, and health and safety.
