Northern Trust is a privately owned company, established in 1962, with a successful track record in property investment, development, land management and regeneration.
Their existing property portfolio extends to almost 8 million sq ft of industrial, trade counter and office parks, together with more than 5,000 acres of land throughout the UK, with circa 1,500 acres currently being promoted through the planning process for mixed use development.
Following a thorough survey and proposal process, energy-efficient lighting specialist Ecolighting were awarded a contract to supply and install their energy saving light fittings and provide a full all-inclusive project managed service from consultation to supply, fit and warranty into the company’s head offices in Chorley, Lancs.
Ecolighting used their Osram recessed panel range of fittings to replace the existing T8 fluorescent panel to greatly reduce energy consumption.

Maintenance costs (lamp cost only) alone were reduced by over £500 per year. Ecolighting’s installation provided a clearer and brighter working environment and as glare levels were reduced it also providing a more compfortable work space for employees .
A return on investment of 2.17 year was achieved.
